SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
The Glocester Recreation Department is pleased to present the 2025 Summer Concert Series, featuring six exciting Wednesday evening performances at the Kent Field Pavilion. Each 90-minute concert begins at 6:30 PM and offers residents and visitors an opportunity to enjoy live music in a beautiful outdoor setting.
This year's diverse lineup spans multiple genres, including 80's hits, blues, country, and folk music, ensuring there's something for every musical taste throughout the summer. All concerts are free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for comfortable seating.
In the event of inclement weather, rain postponement information will be posted on the Glocester Recreation Facebook page.

FOURTH OF JULY ROAD RACE July 4
The Glocester Fourth of July Road Race takes place annually on the morning of July 4th, starting and finishing at Chepachet Union Church. Participants can choose between a 1.8-mile or 5.5-mile race, open to both residents and non-residents, along with special races for children under 12. Registration includes official timing, and T-shirts are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Online registration opens each summer.

PATHWAYS & PADDLES June 12 - September 25
Pathways & Paddles is a free outdoor adventure series with two hikes and two paddling trips at local sites including Sprague Farm, Hawkins Pond, and Bowdish Reservoir. Participants can bring their own canoe or kayak, or borrow one of a limited supply. Life jackets are required for all, and children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required for each session you wish to attend.

FAMILY WALKING CLUB June 16 - August 18
The Family Walking Club begins Monday, June 16 and runs weekly for ten weeks. Walkers meet at the Glocester Senior Center and can choose from ¼-mile and 1-mile loops through historic Chepachet. This free program is open to all ages and fitness levels. Water is provided, and participants should wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.

YOUTH MOUNTAIN BIKING CLUB June 27 - August 2
Mountain Biking Club begins Saturday, June 28 at 9:00 AM at Heritage Park and runs for six weeks. Open to riders ages 8 and up, this program teaches trail skills, safety, and biking basics in a fun, supportive environment. First-time riders should arrive 30 minutes early for a free bike inspection and tune-up. Riders must bring a helmet, wear sturdy clothing and shoes, and bring a water bottle.

YOUTH FLAG FOOTBALL CLINIC July 8-10
The Flag Football Clinic runs July 8–10, Tuesday through Thursday, from 6:00–7:30 PM at Leja Field in Glocester Memorial Park. Open to Glocester residents ages 6–12, this free clinic includes skills, drills, and casual games. Players should wear comfortable clothing, bring a water bottle, and be ready to move—flag belts and footballs will be provided. Attendance is flexible, but registration is limited.

YOUTH SOCCER CLINIC July 15-17
Soccer Clinic Soccer clinic takes place Tuesday through Thursday, July 15–17, at Leja Field in Glocester Memorial Park. This free clinic is open to Glocester children ages 6–12 and features 45-minute sessions over three days. Participants should wear cleats or athletic shoes, shin guards, and bring a water bottle. Space is limited and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.

YOUTH BASKETBALL CLINIC July 29-31
Basketball clinic will be held Tuesday through Thursday, July 29–31, at Glocester Memorial Park. This free clinic is for Glocester residents ages 6–12 and includes 45-minute sessions over three days. Participants should bring a water bottle and wear sneakers and athletic clothing; basketballs are provided. Space is limited and registration is first come, first served.

YOUTH SUMMER RUNNING June 24 - July 31
Summer Running Club begins Tuesday, June 24 and meets Tuesday through Thursday at 9:00 AM at the Ponaganset High School track. Open to athletes entering grades 5–9, this six-week program includes drills, conditioning, and supplemental training. Runners should bring a water bottle, wear athletic gear, and be ready for a good workout. A workout plan will be provided for off-days.

YOUTH TRACK & FIELD June 24
Join us for Youth Track & Field Night on Tuesday, June 24 at the Ponaganset High School Track & Field Complex. Day-of registration and field events begin at 5:30 PM, with running events at 6:00 PM. Children ages 2–12 will rotate through fun, age-appropriate track and field stations like sprints, throws, and long jump. Participants should wear sneakers, bring a water bottle, and come ready to run and play!

YOUTH TENNIS LESSONS June 23 - August 1
Tennis lessons run Monday through Friday for six weeks, starting June 23 and ending August 1 with a closing ceremony. This free program is open to Glocester children ages 5–17. Participants should bring a tennis racket, water bottle, hat, and wear appropriate athletic clothing and sneakers. Attendance is flexible and groups/times will be assigned via email.

YOUTH SWIM LESSONS June 23 - August 1
Swim lessons begin Monday, June 23 and run Monday through Friday for six weeks, ending August 1. This program is open to Glocester residents ages 3–13 for a $1 fee collected at the first session. Children should bring a bathing suit, towel, and refrain from wearing goggles in Tiny Tots through Level 3. Attendance is flexible—come as often as your schedule allows.
